Museum of Mundane Objects
The Museum of Mundane Objects honours things we use and take for granted in our everyday lives by turning the mundane objects into an interactive installation.
This was an explorative project, using Arduino & Bare Conductive Touchbards
A collaborative project with Jordan To www.jordantodesign.co.uk
The mundane objects will be displayed on plinths, which are lit up using LEDs to illuminate the importance of the objects in our lives.
Three bare conductive touch boards are connected to the objects. We used Arduino to get the code to make each object a theremin. By tweaking the pitch, volume, instrument, and the sensitivity in the code we got each object to make the sounds we wanted. In order to make the non-conductive objects conductive, we created a conductive field using electric paint and then connected it to the touch board using an alligator clip.
